60 ml (¼ C)
750 ml (3 C)
125 ml (½ C)
45 ml (3 T)
5 ml (1 t)
dark chocolate, finely grated
Fry the minced bacon in a very hot pan until dried out and crisp.
Dish the bacon onto a plate covered with paper towel to soak up any excess fat.
Grind the bacon using a food processor.
Add the ground bacon and ground coffee to a coffee plunger.
Boil water then allow it to rest for 45 seconds, to prevent burning the coffee grounds.
Pour in just enough water to wet the grounds and allow to brew for 1 minute.
Add the vanilla essence and pour in the rest of the water.
Give it a quick stir, add the lid on top and allow to brew for 3 minutes.
Depress the plunger slowly and steadily to keep the grounds and coffee separated.
While the coffee is brewing, whip the cream and sugar together until stiff peaks form.
Pour a cup of coffee, add a few spoonfuls of cream and garnish with dark chocolate shavings before serving.
