Bacon Coffee with Whipped Cream

Two of the best parts of breakfast unite to form this #JustDelicious bacon-infused coffee that’ll knock your socks off!

200 g

Eskort Minced Bacon

60 ml (¼ C)

ground coffee

750 ml (3 C)

hot water

125 ml (½ C)


45 ml (3 T)

castor sugar

5 ml (1 t)

vanilla essence

20 g

dark chocolate, finely grated


Bacon Coffee

  • Fry the minced bacon in a very hot pan until dried out and crisp.

  • Dish the bacon onto a plate covered with paper towel to soak up any excess fat.

  • Grind the bacon using a food processor.

  • Add the ground bacon and ground coffee to a coffee plunger.

  • Boil water then allow it to rest for 45 seconds, to prevent burning the coffee grounds.

  • Pour in just enough water to wet the grounds and allow to brew for 1 minute.

  • Add the vanilla essence and pour in the rest of the water.

  • Give it a quick stir, add the lid on top and allow to brew for 3 minutes.

  • Depress the plunger slowly and steadily to keep the grounds and coffee separated.

Whipped Cream

  • While the coffee is brewing, whip the cream and sugar together until stiff peaks form.


  • Pour a cup of coffee, add a few spoonfuls of cream and garnish with dark chocolate shavings before serving.


  • This recipe contains dairy (lactose).


  • Cream (lactose): Use Orley Whip or coconut cream.

  • Dark Chocolate (lactose): Use lactose-free or vegan dark chocolate.
