Assistant Retail Store Manager

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Grade 12/ Matric Certificate

  • Tertiary Qualification in Retail Management Advantageous

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position preferably in a retail environment

  • Excellent business English, both verbal and written

  • Established proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel

  • Proven statistical and analytical ability

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively

  • Availability to work extended hours as per operational requirements

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • You must be able to plan, organise, lead, control and follow-up on the daily schedule of the staff and the business.

  • Ensuing that there are sufficient stock and that the stock standards are adhere to.

  • Perform stock takes on a weekly basis

  • Report on stock take figures

  • Investigate on discrepancies

  • Following the companies ordering processes if Manager is not there

  • Must be able to maintain prepared budgets.

  • The successful candidate must be in charge of the general operations of the store, must ensure that sales are driven.

  • Compile monthly and weekly reports for the Retail Manager.

  • Attend monthly Butchery meetings and report on the operations of the store.

  • Receive stock and check Invoices

  • Assist with capturing of GRV’s and ensuring the process is correctly followed when receiving

  • Liaise with the Production department in terms of promotions.

  • Arrange weekly and monthly promotions in the store.

  • Perform ad hoc administration functions
