MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • B Degree in Human Resources and/or M Degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology

  • Minimum 5 years experience in HR Generalist position

  • Driver's Licence

  • Excellent business English both verbal and written

  • Established proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel

  • Proven statistical and analytical ability

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively

  • Availability to work extended hours as per operational requirements

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Recruitment and selection for head office as well as butcheries (existing and new)

  • Manage of boarding process (Induction, train new employees of the company policies and procedures)

  • Payroll administration (Overtime, terminations, new employees, casual labour etc.)

  • Provident fund administration

  • liaise with other departmental managers and assist with their HR needs

  • Ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements

  • update and maintain employee files

  • compile employment equity statistics for the butcheries and head office staff

  • Advise manager on Industrial Relations Matters (warnings, hearings, company representation at the CCMA)

  • Ensure company is compliant with standards of Department of Labour (EE, ESP, COID, BCEA, LRA)

  • Maintain and develop a training plan

  • Sound knowledge of BEE, ability to drive BEE strategies within a company

  • Compile documents and reports for financial year end and audit process

  • Adhoc admin duties, should be able to assist in other departments where there is a need

  • Must be able to travel between branches
