Korean Style Hot Dogs

A popular street food in Korea and famous cousin to the corn dog, these #JustDelicious cheesy deep fried Korean Style hot dogs are a sure-fire winner come snack time!

Serves: 6-8



500 g

Eskort Smoked Viennas, cut in half

1 packet

cheese slices

100 g



eggs, beaten

1 packet

Doritas cheese flavoured chips, crushed

1 L

sunflower oil, for deep frying


sweet chilli or sriracha sauce, for serving


  • Heat oil in a large pot.

  • Wrap each Vienna half in a slice of cheese and set aside.

  • Place flour in a shallow bowl, place crushed Doritas in a separate shallow bowl.

  • Beat eggs in a 3rd shallow bowl.

  • Working quickly, and shaking off any excess, dip each cheese wrapped piece of Vienna in egg wash, then flour, then back into the egg wash and finally into the crushed Doritas.

  • Set aside and repeat with remaining ingredients.

  • Once all Viennas are dipped, deep fry them in the hot oil, in small batches, until golden brown.

  • Remove from oil and set aside to drain on paper towelling.

  • Serve Korean style hot dogs warm with sweet chilli sauce, sriracha sauce or even tomato sauce.
