Sticky Sweet & Sour Pork Chops

Pork chops & pap, a ‘local is lekker’ favourite so we’ve come up with a #JustDelicious and super tasty twist that will take your braai to the next level. You’re welcome!

Eskort Pork Chops

100 ml

balsamic vinegar

100 ml

olive oil

15 ml

soy sauce

10 ml



olive oil for frying (not for braai-ing)


  • In a bowl, mix together the rosemary, thyme, paprika, honey, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce and chutney to make a marinade.

  • Place chops in a shallow casserole dish and pour the marinade over, turning chops to coat both sides well.

  • Cover and refrigerate for an hour or two (the longer the better), turning chops occasionally.

  • Remove chops from fridge and set aside to come to room temperature.

  • Chops can be fried in a frying pan or cooked on the braai.

  • Cook chops for 4 - 5 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with the leftover marinade.

  • Serve chops warm with pap, a side salad or veggies of your choice.
