Perfect Pork Ramen

The perfect dish for a light dinner and an easy way of enjoying some #JustDelicious Japanese food in your own kitchen.

900 g

Eskort Pork Fillet

5 ml

ground black pepper

15 ml

sesame oil

1 - 2 packets

dried ramen noodles

2 L

chicken stock

2 slices

fresh ginger, finely sliced

2 cloves

garlic, finely sliced


spring onions, sliced


red chilli, sliced

30 ml

soy sauce

115 g

portabella mushrooms, sliced


baby pak choi


spring onion, sliced, to garnish


red chilli, finely sliced




  • Preheat oven to 180°C.

  • Place the pork fillet on an oven tray, season with black pepper and drizzle over the sesame oil.

  • Put fillet in oven and cook for 25 - 30 minutes, until pork is cooked through.

  • Once it’s cooked, remove from the oven, cover and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

  • Boil eggs for 6 - 8 minutes (depending on how soft you like them), remove the eggs, drain the boiling water and run them under cold running water for a few minutes.

  • Crack and remove the egg shell carefully. Keep the eggs covered until you are ready to serve.

  • Slice eggs in half for serving.

  • Pour the chicken stock into a pot and add the fresh ginger, garlic cloves, spring onions, red chilli and soy sauce.

  • Bring the stock to a boil over medium high heat. Cover and let it simmer for about 15 - 20 minutes.

  • Once the stock is done, add the pak choi, ramen noodles, and sliced mushrooms and let it simmer for 3 - 5 minutes until the noodles are done.

  • Slice the pork fillet into thin slices.

  • Divide the ramen noodles, pak choi, mushrooms and stock into two bowls.

  • Add the pork slices, soft boiled egg, spring onions and chilli to garnish. Serve immediately.
