This is our favourite meal when we first married. When time and money were in short supply, and you need a quick satisfying supper, this cannot be beaten!

Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 20 min
Serves: 4




Eskort Gold Medal Pork Sausages

1 packet


15 ml



onion, finely chopped

2 cloves

garlic, finely chopped

1 can

diced, peeled tomatoes


salt & pepper

15 ml

mixed masala (optional)

15 ml



  • Heat oil in a large frying pan and sauté the onion till soft. Add garlic and fry gently.

  • Add the masala if using and take care not to burn. Add the can of tomato and cook over medium heat until the moisture is evaporated slightly.

  • Add the sugar to cut the acidic aftertaste. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Turn off the heat.

  • Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until done. Drain and set aside.

  • Slice the cooked pork sausages into bite size pieces and add to the tomatoes.

  • Toss the spaghetti into this warmed tomato mix.

  • Garnish with coriander or parsley and serve immediately, with grated cheese for the non-dieters or a green salad for everyone else!

  • Lovely and warming weekday meal and with a little extra spaghetti makes enough for lunch the next day.
