Crispy, gooey and oh-so moreish, these #JustDelicious little bites of heaven will have everyone begging for more.

Eskort Streaky Bacon

bread dough, store bought

15 ml

2 cloves

garlic, grated

250 g

mozzarella cheese, cut into 3 cm x 3 cm cubes

vegetable oil for frying


  • Remove bread dough from packaging and place in a bowl greased with butter and dusted with flour.

  • Cover with a kitchen towel or clingwrap and allow to rise in a warm spot for an hour.

  • Once risen, lightly punch down and roll out on a well-floured surface.

  • Using round cookie cutters (or a glass or cup), cut out rounds of dough.

  • Melt butter and garlic together in a small pot, stirring while melting and allow to cool slightly.

  • Brush each dough round with the garlic butter, top with a cube of mozzarella cheese and fold up the dough around the cheese.

  • Wrap each one in a slice of streaky bacon and secure the end with a toothpick.

  • In a large pot, heat up oil and fry bacon cheese bombs in small batches of 4-5 (watch oil carefully as it will bubble up).

  • Fry bacon cheese bombs until golden brown, remove from oil and drain on paper towelling.

  • Serve warm as a snack.
