Eskort Traditional Frankfurters, sliced


olive oil

50 ml

mustard, of your choice

250 ml

sour cream


small cucumber, diced


large tomatoes, diced


onion, finely chopped

10 ml

lemon juice




ground black pepper


pita breads, brown, whole-wheat or white

100 g

cheddar cheese, grated


lettuce leaves, roughly chopped


  • Slice the frankfurters and fry in oil over a high heat for 3-4 minutes until browned, set aside.

  • Mix mustard and sour cream together in a bowl and set aside.

  • Mix the cucumber, tomato, onion and lemon juice together in a bowl to make a salsa, season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Cook pitas according to package instructions, until browned, leave pitas to cool before splitting them open – they will be really hot inside!

  • Fill the pitas with the sausage, cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato salsa.

  • Top with a dollop of the sour cream mustard mixture and serve!
