375 g

Eskort Mini Bacon Sausages

100 g

mozzarella, grated

50 ml


125 ml

flour & extra for crumbing

320 ml


5 ml



egg, beaten

250 ml

bread crumbs


olive oil for frying


  1. In a heated sauce pan, melt the butter. Add the flour and stir together well before adding milk. Add the nutmeg and stir in before adding the cheese. Refrigerate the batter for 1 hour.

  2. Pan fry the bacon sausages until golden brown.

  3. In 3 separate bowls prepare the flour, egg and breadcrumbs for dipping.

  4. Remove the batter from the fridge and take a golf ball size of the dough and flatten it in your palm, then add a bacon sausage and cover the sausage up with the dough.

  5. Dust the croquette in flour, then egg and then the crumb. Repeat this process until your sausages and dough are all finished.

  6. Pan fry the croquettes in some olive oil until golden brown on all sides.

  7. Serve with some tomato sauce or chutney!
