Spicy Crumbed Strips


2 packs

Eskort Fresh Pork Neck Steaks, sliced into strips

250 ml (1 C)


250 ml (1 C)


500 ml (2 C)

bread flour

15 ml (1 T)



oil, for deep frying

Sweet Soya Mayo


250 ml (1 C)

creamy mayonnaise

15 ml (1 T)

soya sauce

15 ml (1 T)

apricot jam

1 clove

garlic, finely chopped


Spicy Crumbed Strips

  • Combine the salt and flour in a mixing bowl.

  • In a separate bowl, combine the atchar and amasi.

  • Coat the strips in flour, then in the amasi mixture and back in flour.

  • Deep fry the strips until golden.

Sweet Soya Mayo

  • In a small mixing bowl, add the mayo ingredients and whisk together.


  • Serve the mayo on the pork neck strips or as a dip on the side.


  • This recipe contains wheat (gluten), soya (soy) and dairy (lactose).


  • Amasi (lactose): Use an equal amount of coconut milk with 20ml of lemon juice added.

  • Bread Flour (gluten): Use all-purpose gluten-free flour.

  • Soya Sauce (soy): Use coconut aminos.
